Started this discussion. Last reply by PSHypnosis Sep 8, 2010. 4 Replies

I'm wondering if you would consider this hypnoses - just watching this video I got the same feeling I get with my therapist, sometimes. Maybe it's just this guy's voice... …Continue

Associated trance

The therapy you describe sounds like it covers all the things my therapist does with me using DNMS. It's so much more helpful than I ever hoped it could be.

You will often find a session with your therapist will be deeper and more relaxing than a solo session with yourself, usually having the guide to take you into the trance is deeper, plus as your therapist the strong level of trust and respect will…

Thank you for replying... Yes I often meditate and enter calm exhileration... hm that seems contradictory... maybe it's more like a feeling of well being that I get when I've had a session. That is the same feeling I had when I watched the…

Its a method of relaxation, I listened, and yes, entered a light state of trance, as your therapist would of told you I am sure, you yourself can easily enter a hypnotic state, simply by sitting in your chair or laying down and focussing on your…

I love this post! I've been belittled and scorned for exactly what you said - simply questioning the validity of the science and the arrogance that peole think we have that much control over our surroundings - and often by really intelligent,…

What you are describing is the state of flow. You may wish to read the work of the positive psychologist Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi who first described and studied the subject scientifically. Here is his book on…

John - the other discussion was the one I started yesterday about "dissociation and hypnosis". Someone in there wondered if it was easier to be in an "associated trance" if one was used to dissociating or if it was a separate…

I'm afraid you will have to give just a bit more information than that if you want a serious answer. Like perhaps: what discussion you heard it in? The context in which it was said, etc. John
