Brennan Smith commented on Beverly Miller's blog post 'I Need Help'
The most basic thing to consider is that memory is state-dependent (which is a semi-fancy way of saying that we remember things best when we're in the exact same environment, emotional state, etc. as when we first encoded the memory for…

Thanks Brennan. Been trying to spread the word about what I do here, but find it's taking longer than I thought. Sometimes not sure where to start! I'll keep ploughing ahead and see what gives. BTW have you ever tried cold-calling companies etc as a way to drum up business? I tried it today, but found it a bit disheartening. Would you recommend keeping at it?

Thank you for the nice comment on my website! I really appreciate the kind words coming from the person I watched talk about "Hypnosis and the Brain" on the streaming AHA video more than once. And I will probaby watch it again because it is just that great. I wish I had been there in person to recieve the hand-outs to follow along with!
HMI was great about stressing client-centered therapy and ethics. I would have loved for the brain, brain waves, etc to be more a part of the curriculum as well. I think you were so right that we need the understanding of the terminology to be able to network with medical professionals. Have you been back, or are you planning to give that talk again?
My dogs do get under foot occassionally, but they are not that tiny and can move quickly out of the way, so no one ever really gets hurt, thankfully :)
