Thank you Roman. While we may not yet have the best solution figured out, I don't think anyone disagrees that we need one.

But laws make this kind of behavior prosecutable, as it should be, for all professions as well as nonprofessionals.

Thank you James for saying what I was too upset to say. BTW: doesn't anyone care about how the public views our capabilities?

Hi Donna, Thank you for your reasonable tone. I'll admit I get emotionally hijacked when I think that anyone is in any kind of support of these idiots. I see red and want to go postal on them. I'm certain that there are "logical emotional reasons"…

Well, another post from the Diary of a Mad Webmistress

We've been engaged in a family dispute about what constitutes unacceptable behavior in both children and adults. While I'm not the target this time, disputes are distressing.

I've talked about my BFF Fran, who shared her idea of the "I dont wannas" which I've shared with you guys before. Wow, what a helpful insight. I realize that I've been struggling with a bad case of the "I dont wannas" for the last two months. I'm not really depressed. I just DON'T WANNA do anything. The struggle against th… Continue

Notable Quotable: "If you think you have it tough, read the history books." Bill Maher

It's a new year, which always starts out with my birthday, on Jan 3. I won't say how old I am but let's just say I've witnessed my own share of history.

I'm noticing all the articles about how to keep resolutions. Hah! I don't even make them any more. What's the point? Especially if you make them when you're bloated with sugar, fat and alcohol and ground down emotionally by fatigue, anxiety about money, the flu, and the cold, darkness of yucky winter. And this with such hubris from a southern c… Continue

Wish your life could be a do-over? Think twice.

TODAY’S NOTABLE QUOTABLE

No wise man ever wished to be younger.
Jonathan Swift (1667 - 1745)

And what a wise saying that is. How many of us would really go back and relive our teenage years or young adult years? We may think so when we look in the mirror on a bad day. But ease in life comes with wisdom. Things are easier to figure out and solve. Solutions are more obvious and more courageously carried out.

How many times have YOU looked up a local plastic surgeon’s telephone number? Perhaps… Continue

Happy Holidays Everyone - A page from the Diary of a Mad Webmistress and accompanying NOTABLE QUOTABLE:

I've been pondering some new blog names. One of them is "Diary of a Mad (Frustrated) Webmistress."
But then I reconsidered. Perhaps someone might take it the wrong way. Or have some smartass remark that might send me over the edge.

I've gone back to the idea of using a quote to start out… Continue

I've just been reading “the dove" and maybe I'm obtuse but the lines of argument all seem very confused-sprinkled with impressive levels of self righteousness. As far as I can make out people are talking about 'claimed sensitivity as weapon' and whether we choose to be hurt or not. Am I right?

All the very best

Hi Susan

I hope you're well and thanks for your kind comments. I'd just like to say (at this risk of sounding like an attendee at a mutual admiration society meet) that I find your comments informed, intelligent and infused with obvious humanity : )

Susan, hi. I'm still new here and wanted to invite you to be a friend, but missed that button and have someone coming in a few moments. Just wanted to add that I saw your discussion about when "it" doesn't work and jumped in halfway -- it got a little out of hand, but I hope my comment was helpful. I also love reading and want to make sure you've seen Havens & Walters, Hypnotherapy Scripts, 2002, an Ericksonian Approach. Not only are their scripts so good I see them often used by others without attribution (of course, I don't know for sure who used them first), but he's got a great chapter on how to write your own.
Cheers,
Stephanie

Susan,

While I appreciate compliments from time to time, and indeed I'm a pretty cool guy, I'm not really my own favorite topic of conversation. Let's all just appreciate my transcendent coolness quietly, ok?

Conrad.

Stream of thought ... following on from Albert Ellis' idea that we often undervalue the positive ... a metaphor/visualisation based on Homeopathic Carbon (Graphites). I'll try to weave in a theme of self-worth, the essence of Graphites. (This is written on the fly ... just ideas!)

As you know, carbon is the element of life, it is found in all living things, there would be no life without carbon, but the feeling of the carbon atom, and the carbon patient, is that she is small, plain, humble, and insignificant in a vast universe. As you relax, imagine you are a tiny mote of carbon, floating in the vastness of space, remember that you have the power to join with other carbons to form chains of molcules that form the basis of life on earth, there is nothing plain or ordinary about carbon ... it is the staff of life, and its softness is the source of all goodness ... giving meaning and value to life on earth, gently bringing comfort and warmth to the home, dignity to the family ... to all around her ...

Hey Susan;
I really enjoy all of your contributions to the discussions. I tried e-mailing you as you suggested for your "sleep" script, but it came back to me as wrong address. Could you email me at

Thanks again,
