Tom, I think this is such a good way to proceed - memories, good AND bad, are so precious... by effectively preserving them, to be accessed at will, but keeping them in a separate place, hopefully the client will be able to start moving on. Thank…
Hi, All,
I just joined the site and this group. I had no idea there were so many hypnos in Ohio!
Anyone interested in get-togethers for exchanging methods/info/experimentation?
Hi, Jill,
I didn't have anything specific in mind, but always interested in exploring options. I have a small office in Wooster, but not a large population to scare up business from.

I'm still new to this site, so I hope I am doing this correctly. If I were to try to help someone in the area of bereavement, I would probably use this approach with the client.I would first achieve somnambulism, probably using the Elman (already described in Script group).(This would be a good time to be sure one is prepared to handle an abreaction, should it occur.)I would consider that eliminating the feelings of grief, etc. might be inappropriate because of the possibility of causing the…See More

Bereavement is not necessarily about losing a loved one. It can be anything that shatters you to the point where your life feels like a puzzle with the pieces scattered to the four winds. How can we help?See More

Fantastic, Tom, thank you for posting the first discussion topic on the Bereavement Therapy group! This is just the kind of response I was hoping for, and, as a novice, I find it particularly useful and interesting ... as will many others, I'm sure. Maybe someone else can post a follow-up to keep the discussion going, adding their own views and insights?
Hi Tom,
Whatever you would like to post would be appreciated. I am really not sure what all types of scripts are posted so post what ever you think would be good.
Hi Tom,
Thanks for joining, it sounds as if you are in a perfect position to make a valuable contribution to the group! If you read my introductory comments on the Bereavement group page, you will see what prompted me to start it; in short, personal reasons, such as the death of my 5 year old nephew and my father from cancer; and past professional reasons - 10 years' experience as an intensive care nurse - where dealing with grieving relatives was a daily occurence... I have now moved on and am currently studying hypnotherapy, I like the idea of helping people to help themselves.
Hi Tom,
Like you I am new to this very useful and helpful site... welcome, and thanks for joining my group, Bereavement Therapy, founded only 2 days ago! I hope that more people will join soon and share their experiences and tips for successful treatment.
Welcome. This is a great community filled with loads of information and helpful people. I'm confident you will enjoy it here. Let me know if I can help in any way. And, I'm curious--- what got you interested in hypnosis in the beginning?
