My first show was a bomb. I did it for a friend as her gift to her boyfriend. It was in a bar, and a few days before the show, the two of them had a big fight so all his friends boycotted the party. I ended up with 35 in the audience, most of them drunk or just weird. Had 2 on stage that were faking it, but bless their hearts they were trying to help me out.
My 2 show was in Washington at the Hypnotists Day Convention. Still had a really small crowd, but they were sober! It was a better show, but I don't seem to be getting them deep enough into hypnosis. That's where I need help now. I have my skits figured out, all the music figured out, the sound system, I feel confident, but I haven't been able to get them really, really deep. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I've only done the two shows, but expect to be doing some grad night shows soon.
