My understand is that hypnosis can be attached to sleep but not the other way around as the physiological changes that take place in sleep,i.e. slowing down of the heart rate, blood pressure etc are not evident in deep hypnosis - or so I have read.

I'm in the middle of teaching a six session course on self hypnosis and it's going very well!

As I prepare my lectures, scripts, and CDs I've been reflecting on those who've helped me along the way. My teachers, mentors, and you folks on this forum. Your words and ideas are working their way into what I'm doing.

Erickson's Ocean Monarch Lecture

In the book Experiencing Hypnosis by Erickson and Rossi mention is made of a lecture that Erickson gave called the Ocean Monarch Lecture. The book used to come with a cassette recording of the lecture.
