Prior to my life as a hypnotist, I owned a metaphysical/self-help bookstore called Spiritwood Books where I particularly enjoyed teaching customers how to use various oracles to tap into their own inner wisdom. I still haven't broken my addiction to books and continue to take courses and study various mind-body-spirit subjects. (I also haven't broken my need to recommend books, so if you're looking for information .... )
Currently I'm slogging through the German New Medicine courses and reading about neuroplasticity. As you can see, I'm a real party girl!

Welcome aboard! My book-reading has crawled to a snail's pace of late ... I'm currently reading Evolve Your Brain by Joe Dispenza. Dispenza is a chiropractor featured in the movie What the Bleep? I didn't know he is also a hypnotherapist who has spent decades studying how the brain! In Evolve Your Brain he delves into how thoughts create chemical reactions that keep us addicted to certain patterns of thought, feeling, behavior. It's going to take me a while to get through this one, but it's fascinating reading. (I'm hi-liting huge sections and making plenty of notes in the margins!)
I literally have a bin full of books waiting to be read! One of my latest aquisitions, which may go to the front of the heap, is My Stroke of Insight by Jill Bolte Taylor. You may have seen the You Tube of Jill Bolte Taylor, a neuroanatomist who experienced a massive stroke and observed her own mind completely deteriorate to the point that she could not walk, talk, read, write, or recall any of her life - all within a 4 hour period. Can't wait!
