Arthur Ellis and his ABC model

Sorry, never type when thinking of something else. It is Albert not Arthur;I am after quotes specific to him, not those variations developed when applying the theory. angela

I'm guessing this refers to Albert Ellis, founder of Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (and grandfather of CBT). Check Amazon for loads of his books.

I thought you might have meant "Albert." Have you tried googling it, looking at wickipedia or even amazon.com, where you can often see excerpts of the books and may find your quote there, and some additional information about him? Susan

Hi Angela so sorry for not adding you as a friend sooner, I have had some problems with my computer. Good to be in contact with a fellow UKian! Thanks for the friendship, much appreciated. Would love to find out more about your practice sometime, as I am quite anxious about setting up on my own. Haven't finished the course yet, so I have some time to prepare. Many thanks! Debs

Angela,
Thank you. You'll have to say more about the connection between humans and horses. I think there is potentially hypnotic ground there. I’m reminded of my friend Ina Zeemering, who breeds horses and is involved with Equine Assisted Psychotherapy.
Namaste,
Michael

Hi Angie
I use regression most of the time, the way we learnt I suppose. What like about regression is dealing with the cause, getting the subconscious to agree to let go of the attached emotion, helping with the self healing using the
appropriate tools. I love seeing the shift, the look of peace sometimes on their faces when they let go of something. To my way of thinking dealing with the cause can stop the behaviour repeating itself at a later date or coming out in a different way via a different symptom. If not then there is Parts, or Ego state therapy.
Glad you like it here.

Welcome. This is a great community filled with loads of information and helpful people. I'm confident you will enjoy it here. Let me know if I can help in any way. And, I'm curious--- what got you interested in hypnosis in the beginning? That's a beautiful paint horse. I have 2 paints and 1 palomino.
