- About Me:
- For the past few years I have worked with people affected by breast cancer, mainly for the charity Breast Cancer Care, offering advice and support online.
During this work I became more and more interested in how people coped with difficult times in their lives. I began to research further and came across many women who had benefitted from hypnotherapy. They had found it enabled them to control their anxieties and fears and focus on the positive things in their lives. Hypnotherapy seemed to be making these women much happier and more positive even at a very difficult time of their lives.
I was so impressed by this, I decided to train as a hypnotherapist. I am committed to evidence-based practice so I will only use treatments which have been proven to work.
In my earlier career I was a health journalist with Nursing Standard magazine. I still enjoy writing and write regularly about my work. I hope this is helpful to both fellow hypnotherapists and others working in related fields and to interested laypeople.
