What are you looking for on this site?
This site is a great way to network with other like minded people about a topic that we are all VERY passionate about. I'm looking forward to meeting as many people online and in person as possible, and helping to bring hypnosis and hypnotists into the 21st century.
About Me:
I am a full time performer/entertainer. I do Hypnosis Stage shows.. I have for about 10 years or so... I also perform Magic Shows... since I was about 9 y.o. and I do a SLEW of other educational entertainment shows that keeps me in performing mode pretty much all the time. Even though I am not specifically making a full time living doing hypnosis shows, each and every show I do is designed and modeled around the precepts of NLP, Nonverbal Hypnosis and or Conversational Hypnosis. Each production, each show, each speech or presentation is a hypnotic event. So yeah.. I'm a full time hypnotist. I still Study hypnosis... so I am still a student... Its not just how I make a living.. I also PLAY and enjoy the effects even if there are no $$$ to be made.. so YES.. I suppose it is a hobby as well... and I am a Hypno-Junkie.. I LOVE being in trance and it is not uncommon for me to have a hypno friend put me in trance.. so YES... I am a client as well...

Who Wants the next scholorship?

So... I don't know how many of you that are in my friends group or on my lists KNOW that I started a group called Pay It Forward.... Just a little something to help give back to the hypnosis community for not only ME ... but for everyone who wants to participate....

ANYWAY... I believe that I read somewhere once that we help ourselves when we help others. And that you can have everything you ever wanted if you help enough other people get what THEY want.... when I combine the two of those ideas… Continue

And so it begins....

The Online Global Hypnosis Summit coming up in March is shaping up to be a really GRAND event. Probably change the way we participate in hypnosis conventions in the future. But it occurred to me that part of the FUN of a convention is not just learning the tools and techniques.. but the social camaraderie of hanging out with friends and practicing with each other.. comparing notes.. having a cup of JOE or a nice dinner with each other.

As I looked at the format of the GHS.. I thought how can it… Continue

To answer your question about scanning big artwork.. There are a couple of ways you can get a full-sized movie poster on line. If you needed a huge, pristine, scan, you could scan it in pieces and use Photoshop to stitch them back together. The more practical option is to simply photograph it with a digital camera. The flash will cause a hotspot, unless you're at a bit of an angle. Or, you could have it brightly lit and take a non-flash pic. Then you can crop, sharpen, or color correct as needed!

Hi Richard -

Although it's probably a slow season for shows - getting people to come to Chicago for a conference in January or February would probably be tough. March is a marginal month here - but a possibility. And April is usually pretty nice, but there are all the spring holidays. We're going to survey the people who come to the conference this October to find out how they might feel about moving the conference to early spring. Thanks for taking the time to think about this and contributing your input. Have a great Labor Day weekend.

Well, we are the weekend before Halloween - but still I'm sure it's a busy time of year. We have been thinking of moving the conference to another time of year - though finding a good niche is hard, what with NGH and a pile of others. If you had it your way - when would be a good time of year to move to?

You're quite funny...I don't recall the thumb and tapping things you did to me yesterday, but it must have been great because it worked like a charm. Now I just need to watch you do it to someone else so I can learn the tricks. :)

As for sailing...why hasn't Scott taken you up on it? I definitely would love to see your boat sometime and explore the waters as long as you're not seriously into heeling. I had a few bad experiences in the Long Beach area with an experienced sailor who loved to scare the $^#* out of his passengers, but since then Jay and I have enjoyed some nice sailing with my parents. Calm waters and I'm a happy camper. :)

Things are getting a bit hectic now preparing to get back to teaching, but hopefully something in the near future can work! Just let me know. Ciao!

It was great to finally meet you this weekend. I'm thoroughly impressed by your talent, and hope to learn more from you! You definitely are good at what you do, and I'm sure I've only seen a fraction of it. I am still amazed at how easily you were able to get me to relax so deeply today...I wish I could do that to myself right now! Amazing feeling! Thanks! Hope you got back to these parts safely. :)

Richard, thank's fir asking. I am working with Argosy Univerity in SLC Ut. They have many campuses (campi?) around the country and finally got to Utah. We are retired and needed a little extra stimulation in our lives as well as extra income from the student loan stipends so we both signed up hoping our new degrees will help us make a counseling clinic and NLP product sales work for us.My husband is really a non traditional student . He got his Associate degree at Salt Community Coillege in his fifties, he completed his bachelor's degree in psychology at WestMinsters in SLC and is now getting his MFT with me at Argosy. I completed my bachelors and first masters in Arizona at ASU, then my master's in counseling at Northern Arizona University in 1990, Now, turning 60 I am starting on my Doctorate in Counseling Psychology. I've worked mostly as a teacher and school counselor and for my licencing internship (4000 hours) I have worked with sex abusers and victims, and at a private what we would have called "reform school" for girls, and proctor parent for girls then boy sex offenders stepping down from residential care. See my blog for more than you ever wanted to know about me.
