As a client, more than happy to do this.

As a retired instructor at anal community colleague, I loved this. I will be sharing it with my colleges in just a few minutes. And “Speak With Conviction” - I can hear myself in the classroom - “Was that a statement or a question? Do you know how…

For me, words do matter even though I also believe that in face to face - two way communications the vocal and visual message make up 93% of what the receiver believes to be "true". However, I started contemplating the words "I want to lose weight"…

I have shared versions of this for many years. I wish I could find all those people in order to share your version of #12 and your #13. thanks

Hi John, Tomorrow, I am going to see "my" hypnotherapist, and I will be taking a list of items for which I would like his opinions. The first time I went to see him was in 2007. I hope he doesn't "fire" me any time in the near future. Do I know I…

Hypnosis Experience:
As a Client
What are you looking for on this site?
Knowledge and a quality place to pastime.
About Me:
For over 30 years, I have worked with groups of economically disadvantaged adults and dislocated workers. The description of the classes I do states that my folks will learn job seeking and keeping skills and/or how to be successful in college. The reality is that for over 30 years, I have somehow been able to help convince literally thousands of people that they could do much more with their lives than they thought possible. I have no formal training. I “fell into” (and it was a very comfortable fall) a job that turned out to be my passion. And when you are passionate, you learn.

My knowledge of hypnosis and NLP comes from finally deciding that I, too, wanted to improve my life. I have a wonderful hypnotherapist who has helped me attain some absolutely phenomenal results. For me, he has also became a mentor providing information about hypnosis and NLP.

The original reason I sought out a hypnotherapist was because over 25 years ago, I had a major panic attack while driving. When I was unable to drive to a friend’s house who lives only a few miles from me, I decided I had skewed all the statistics for length of time before getting help, and it was time for me to do something. For whatever my reason, I still have a driving comfort zone although it has expanded significantly.

AND

I no longer smoke cigarettes.
For more years than most of you have been alive, I smoked at least 1 1/2 packs a day. It has been over a year and a half since I’ve had one. I cannot envision smoking another one.

I can walk down a hill and up a stepladder
without holding on to some thing or someone.

I know how to do self-hypnosis and can put myself into trance with deep relaxation. I was able to “trance-out” in the dentist’s chair for a tooth extraction
when for years prior, I had nothing done - including shots - without at least one valium which pretty well “knocked me out”.

I feel that I have overcome insecurities about myself.
(a major bugaboo when I knew I could affect the behavior of others but not my own!)

I ask my students not only - What do you want to get out of this? -, but also - What are you willing to give? I hope I can add to this community my perspective as both a hypnosis client and a long time “student” of human behavior.
Hobbies:
reading, swimming, two puppies, shedding pounds

In 15 minutes, I'm leaving my house to have eye surgery.

Because of my really talented C.Ht.. I have conquered my many dentist visits.
In a few minutes, I leave to have eye surgery. Had this been a year ago, I would have been climbing the walls and probably have taken a valium by now. But, I am cool, calm and collected. This is fantastic. Hypnosis is fantastic.

A Great Way to Show Gratitude

Our local newspaper published a story about the Worldwide Gratitude Postcard Project created by an artist in Asheville, NC.
Check out

Wouldn't "gratitude postcards" be first-rate Christmas or Holiday presents to give those folks to whom we are grateful?

This would be great

So far this is my favorite line in the treatise that appears in Freedom’s Phoenix -

“The polls are misleading because some of Obama’s commands are designed to be triggered only in the voting booth on November 4th.”

I feel the trigger right now, but I voted early. Maybe if I went back to my polling place in historic Flat Rock, NC, they would be understanding of this overwhelming urge and let me vote again.

Hi there Janadra,
You seem like a neat lady. I read your stuff and I too from this day feel nervous driving especially on the highway. I don't mind driving in the city, but when I have to go on the highway I freeze. Especially when I have those big rigs you know those big trucks next to me.

Janadra, that's wonderful! Thank you so much for the kind words. My daughter's room is filled with dragons - especially blue-and-white ones as she's had a dragon companion of her own since she was a in preschool (she's built quite a menagerie by now as she's fourteen). I tend to run the fairy dragon process as presented in the video (have even used it on stage for a show) but occassionally I'll mix it up (so there are a few fairy cats out there as well). I so glad you enjoyed the process.

PS -- if I could escape -- which I can't, really, for a while yet, I'm inclined to escape to North Carolina. Or maybe Idaho. Love them both.
