I think the 'buy the CD first' came about because too many people aren't serious about the free class and are wasting Stephen's valuable resources and time. The free class is excellent, though.

If you are into Igor, I think you'd appreciate Stephen Brooke's course for Indirect Hypnosis, Ericksonian Psychotherapy and NLP. It's avery interactive online course with chat, skype, private messages, and peer reviewed discussion forums. The online course is free. He does have a 2 week in person intensive also. You can find the free course by searching for British Hypnosis Research (BHR) or Stephen Brookes. Of course, it is recommended to take the in-person as well as the online. There are other students from Ireland enrolled, too.
It's a good way to get your feet wet with the subject.
