Hi Everyone. I have created a new group For those who want to discuss NLP and Open Eye Trance. The idea is to keep the group focused on techniques as they relate to hypnosis and change work.
I love NLP and Hypnosis and use them both with my private clients. I look forward to discussing theory and "how to" with you. Come join me.

Got a Moderator out so I'm about it for answering posts. Meanwhile from Tad's area of NLP, a new book has been written and is available on Amazon "Think or Sink". T&A seem to be very proud of her. Gina uses her never fail NLP stress and panic attack info. To me it's $9.00 to support a fellow NLPer with a brain wanting to invest energy and maybe knowledge into this world of ours.

Tying in on another level, I had my first experience with an open eye hypnotic trance last June. A client achieved deep trance with her eyes wide open. I was doing a standard Elman induction and I noticed she kept staring at me. Initially, I was a little freaked out wondering why she was looking at me, then I realized that she wasn't seeing anything at all. Her pupils were dialated and her physiology indicated a nice little trance going on. I tested with some visual movement in front of her face and she didn't respond at all. It was amazing to see and it reminded me to flex my assumptions about what "trance" is and how it manifests. From that experience, I've learned to observe eye dialation, lid placement, and blinking patterns as indicators of trance when using open eye techniques.
