"That's an excellent example of ideomotor response. A lot of people use tools such as pendulums or dowsing rods to amplify the response, but some dowsers rely entirely on their hands twitching."

Truth Trick

I've never taken a lie detector test but the idea has intrigued me. Even if you think you are telling the truth, sometimes you can still be lying to yourself. I don't know what inspired me to come up with this process, but it (at least for me) works!I got myself into a very relaxed state and started programming my hands by tightening one or the other and thinking "yes" "yes" or "no" "no" repeatedly each time I squeezed the hand corresponding to the affirmation or denial. Then I started thinking…See More

Aichmophobia - Fear of needles
I force myself to sit though it, sometimes even watching, but I feel anxious and sick and I think it only reinforces my fear.

Apiphobia - Fear of bees
I've gotten to the point where I'm sometimes able to move away without screaming.
Most likely my fear stems from Cnidophobia (fear of being stung) I was stung by a bee,
but years after I first recall being scared of bees.

Arithmophobia- Fear of numbers
Math makes me anxious, which makes it harder to do calculations, which feeds my fear.

Aviophobia - Fear of flying
I've only been on two commercial flights, as a minor; I was all too happy to touch down.
As an adult I've travelled for two days by bus instead of taking a short flight.

Tocophobia - Fear of pregnancy or childbirth
At least it keeps me using condoms when having sex with men,
though I'm left paranoid even after my period.

Hello, NoOne from Canada. :)

Yes, I like a range of musical genres, including what some would call "punk." Music itself can be entrancing, but not hypnotic. IMO.

Cheers,

Tom

Thank you! I'm a magician getting into hypnosis for the entertainment aspect of it. Seems like a very interesting study.
