There is simply no way to confirm if what you are remembering is a legitimate recovered memory, or simply the result of heightened imagination.

- It is my hope to change my thinking patterns & resulting behavior as well as learn to use this immense energy I feel within me to create positive energy for myself & others.
The alchemy of the mind, energy & beliefs as related to change, growth & the Universal connectedness of all interests me.
Along with this, the idea that some are able to easily connect to the reality of this peace, while others fight tooth & nail and never grasp even a shred of it....why?
Is it the fight that creates the barrier?

- None as far as hypnosis. I'm currently learning & have never had anyone successfully (until something I found here).
- About Me:
- I am a 38 year old mother of 2. Have survived a mostly self-created life of chaos. My children are amazing people & remind me daily of why I still exist.
I work as a territory manager for a retail brokerage & love it! Although serious health conditions threaten my livelihood daily.
I wonder if I'm insane daily. I have no faith the world's community physicians & psychology basically due to liability & money being a factor in everything they do. I am totally 100% disillusioned by the idea of "help".
I love life, but think of death daily....whether it be engineered by illness or self.
Beliefs: Varying....reincarnation, karma, spirit & energy, all paths lead to One...but with the knowledge that I could be wrong.
Extremely open-minded & a natural fighter. Impulsive & spontaneous.
At face value...those around me see an up-beat strong person. Inside, I feel as if I toe the edge all the time.

- Spiritual reading/research, study of all religions & philosophy, art...
hypnosis...hypnosis...hypnosis!
learning as a means of helping myself & others, but also have strong erotic/pleasure leaning. (i know some frown on it...oh well)
I love Lake Michigan! It's the one place on the earth where I feel peaceful no matter what.

Remembering...

I've heard stories of hypnosis being used to remember traumatic incidents, but wondered how effective it is.
On the other side of the coin.... if the memory doesn't exist even though there is a basic knowledge of what happened, should it be surfaced?

Licentious Maladay said… - You look like a complex web of contradictions. I'm sure you'll fit in perfectly here! Don't worry about not being able to be hypnotized. Sometimes it's a matter of trying too hard. Sometimes it's not recognizing trance signs when they happen. Sometimes it's a belief or attitude getting in the way. All of these can be overcome with knowledge and practice. Lurk or participate here as much as you want. I'm sure you will find inspiration.
