HypnoThoughts.com

the Free Hypnosis Social Network

At Kelley Woods' prompting, I've started a group here on Hypnothoughts for those of us who are currently reshaping our bodies.

In this group, we can share tips and tricks, discuss methods and theories, and exchange information.

Even more importantly, this is a place to encourage and motivate each other.

Please keep lengthy discussions in the threads section, and reserve the comments for introductions, welcomes, updates on weight adjustments, and congratulations for the same.

Of course, what works for us can help our clients, so information on how to work with weight management clients is also welcome.

And finally, I shouldn't have to say it, but this is not the place to push your products or offer links to "free reports" that end up being advertisements for your products.

Hi, Christine,

Thanks for joining the group!

Just so folks will know, this blog post is just an announcement of the group--the actual discussions and so on happen over at the group page:

We'd love to hear your story there! :-) That way it will be more accessible to future readers looking for information and inspiration.

Take care,

James

We are motivated by pain and pleasure. We move towards pleasure and away from pain. For me I HATE seeing what I look like when I walk past a store window or see myself in a photo. I use these images to motivate me to get into shape. Some of you may be motivated by a future image. Find what works and use it. If it doesn't work, get rid of it!

I'd like to comment on weight loss. I am new into hypnosis and first thing I did was to work on self. Weight loss was one of those things. I created a recording for self and in one session (well, I did 2 until I realized I didn't need the second one) it totally changed my thoughts. I lost 20 lbs with NO effort. When I plateaued and wouldn't drop any more, I listened to it again. Not nearly as powerful the 2nd time, but it did get me to lose another 10. I'd like to lose 5 more, but am happy with where I'm at. Getting tired of buying new clothes to fit. I don't know about ppl needing to lose 100+, maybe that's different.

It seems to be working.

Hi Walt,

First, come join the group! Once it gets rolling you will find lots of ideas and inspiration there, plus the support we all need to stay on course.

Second, why not make your own recording? I just finished one for myself and what do you know?: I seem to know what's best for ME?! lol

Best wishes,

Kelley

Hey, Walt,

Well, the idea for the group came from Kelley Wells, so she gets the credit here.

Congratulations on your improvements! I know that feeling of shedding weight without suffering.

For the boredom--well, I've used hypnosis and auto-suggestion to motivate myself for tasks I didn't want to do. Make a recording for yourself pointing out that every experience is new and unique, and that you love using your MP3s. (I usually use the Zen expression that you can't step in the same river twice.)

Another option might be to collect some other recorded sessions and add them to the mix, so that you have more variety.

All,
Great idea for this group. I'm using a collection(4) of hypnotic mp3s to help with my weight loss. I'm to listen to one of them each day. It's been about 2 months.
Before I started I could not tell if I was hungry or full. Now I know. I often only finish half of my dinner. I'm losing weight ad not suffering. I exercise 30 minutes/day on an elliptical trainer.

But I'm getting bored! I stopped the mp3s for 5 days and the weight crawled upwards!

Any ideas on the boredom?

Walt

Quite possibly... which would mean we're wasting our time talking about. So let's talk about something else now:
