Ah, I have to wait several hours before feeling hungry enough to eat any dessert--darned hypnosis makes me stop when I'm full . . .

James,

In my case you'd have to make that "...about an hour-and-a-half after you finished eating all that wonderful turkey"; because "about one half hour" afterwards I'd still be fully occupied with gorging on DESSERT...

Hey, maybe that kitty was ALSO just dreaming about his choice of dessert after dispatching the hapless birdie?!

Ah, yes, Saul, the tryptophan induction--"As you close your eyes, I wonder if your mind can drift back to the best Thanksgiving ever, about one half hour after you finished eating all that wonderful turkey . . . "

James,

On second thought you may well be right; but that's probably because the cat had just stuffed himself SO full of the birdie's (equally tasty) family members that it fell asleep from sheer exhaustion.
Although I'm not proud to admit it, I too tend to doze off after gorging myself on good food, and should have immediately recognized that this feline was similarly stricken...

P.S. I've never attempted to turn a shark upside down, but I believe the same state of catatonia can be achieved if one drops a hand grenade into the water directly above them...; - )

Oh, c'mon, Saul, it's clear that the trancer is in full-body cat-alepsy. :-)

(Y'know how sharks go catatonic if you turn them upside down? My cat goes sharkatonic under the same conditions.)

Call me "negative" if you must, but when I look at that photo I see a hungry cat visualizing whether to garnish that clueless birdie in cream of mushroom sauce, or whether it would be tastier after simmering in cooking sherry with a dash of butter and pearl onions...; - )

Michael, I’m not sure what you’re “just asking”. I’m not up on the “leading adult theories” regarding the accuracy of memory related to negative emotional experience. It’s my understanding that when someone is experiencing “fight/flight stress”,…

Devin a few months ago I created a group called "dual inductions" as a way for people to discuss paraliminals aka dual inductions. If you search for dual inductions in the group search function you'll find it. Antonio best of luck
