Part #2 You don't need to understand to be happy & successful

To continue my story once the tumor was gone there were many side effects. The strongest side effect was clinical depression created because I had lost everything, but my wife. What a woman to stay with me through all of this.

I had lost every thing financial, most of my friends, my drive to succeed and my ability to reason clearly. The loss that hurt me the most was that my 700 plus employees lost their jobs with my company. My logical mind said that it wasn't my fault and I couldn't help becoming ill, but my emotions focused on all of my failurers and how they hurt others. I felt safe in my bed, but I couldn't go out of the house without another person by my side. I made an agreement with myself that I would give myself six month to heal and become an active of society or I would take some meds have a good bottle of wine and die.

My wife took me to a doctor who specialized only in the treatment of clinical depression and panic attacks using meds. Oh yes, I also had panic attacks. About a week following the start of my medical treatment for clinical depression I noticed a positive change. I still couldn't leave my home without another person with me, but the panic attacks had reduced and I could talk on the phone. I still felt safe only in my bed, but it was a start. I was great at sales, but I realized that I would be very limited if I couldn't get out of bed. I decide to create a sales company on paper and named it J.W. Allen & Associates. My wife had business cards, letterheads and envelopes made for me and I was in business. Kind of. I then had my wife get me a copy of the industrial directories of the three states near where we lived.

I would lay in bed, some times under the covers, and call the sales managers of large companies and tell them I was with J.W. Allen & Associates and we would like to represent them (sell for them) in the state of Ohio where I was living at the time. I had courage to call only one or two a day, but after a couple of weeks I had three large companies agree to sign a contract with J.W.Allen & Associates. I still couldn't think well enough to create a contract so I called on a friend who had been in the sales field for thirty plus years and he created a contract for me. I started making phone calls throughout Ohio and within a month or two I had several customers. Now I had to make a personal appearence at these customers because they were asking to see me in person. I still couldn't leave the house without another person and my car certainly wasn't the type of car I wanted my customers to see. I called a neighbor who had been supportive and asked if I could rent their second car for two days and borrow their son, who was on spring break from college to drive for me to my new customers. I also needed to be able to pay them for the car in the next 60 days as I didn't currently have any money. They agreed and Jim, their son had a ball driving me to my customers. Having this hyper, silly kid in the car help lift my spirits. One of my customers was so happy with the personal visit that I was given a contract for the next six months with a value of $500,000.00. Of course I received only commission from this sale, but it was all I needed to jump start my courage and the business. From there the business just exploded and financially I was healed, but emotionally I was still struggling. I now had enough money to pay for a hypnosis school and I joined for the very next class. Although it was terrible hypnosis training I had the hypnosis bug and new it would become my business, my passion and my life. I obtained more hypnosis training and then I had a life changing event. I was honored to spend months studing with the world famous teacher Jose Silva, founder of The Silva Mind Control Method. I was exposed to his beliefs, his family and his associates. Following this I sold J.W. Allen & Associates and jumped into the hypnosis business. That was about twenty five years ago and I have never looked back. I live and breath hypnosis and it has been good for me. I tell this story only because there are people out there feeling as I did and I want them to know that if I could turn it around you too can heal yourself. And to think it all started with Helen.
