I used to buy Scuzzy hard drives because they spin at 10,000 RPS and I needed the speed to capture video onto a hard drive. Most hard drives spin at 6500 RPS.

Did you ever use software compression on the fly so you could double your hard drive? The files would never look right after they were uncompressed.
I remember when I would try to exercise while working on the computer. It went like this:
set the computer to render a single frame to see how it will look. Try to do push ups for the entire render process of one frame.
Next test frames: sit ups.
it was a really hard workout.
Scott I thought you would get a kick out of it. I use to put video clips of my shows on my site (pre YouTube). Even a two minute clip would be 3 Meg's so I would spend a fortune on hosting space. I had a Intel Pentium 90 custom built compute and it would take 2 1/2 hours to render a two minute video.
I hadn't thought of a scuzzy drive in a long time. thanks for that.
