A Tip for Maintaining Rapport with Your Clients

A few days ago at a networking meeting, I met a woman who works for a very interesting online service.

Basically, you can go to the website and design a greeting card. "Okay," I thought, preparing to tune her out, "another e-card service . . . "

But, no, I was wrong. This company prints out the card, puts it in an envelope, and mails it to whoever you want. I can't tell you how many times I've wished that sending snail-mail was as easy as sending e-mail. And now it is.

Then my mind started racing. This is an easy and affordable way to do postcard campaigns, to send my clients birthday cards--the site has a calendar function that will remind you of upcoming events--and otherwise stay in touch with contacts.

Sure, it won't replace email, but it seems to me like a great way to stay connected with clients.
