OK.. so In the last few days, the question was raised about the quality and quantity of training hypnotists get that are working with clients. This person who raised the questions was sure that most hypnotists who work with clients are totally un-qualified and under trained.
I would like ALL the members here on Hypnothoughts to respond in this survey, just to get an idea of the amount of training that our members have. I may do a more scientific and totally confidential survey on a survey site in order to get some more specific results. Really depends on the response to this informal survey.

Number of years you have been involved in Hypnosis: 15 as an adult, I have been certified for 7 years now.
Do you see clients: Yes
How often do you see clients: 5 or 6 times a week
If you see clients, for what types of issues: Sports Performance, weight management, habit control, relationship and self image issues
Have you ever referred a client to another more qualified hypnotist: Yes
Have you ever referred a client to regular Allopathic forms of treatment: Yes
have you ever had a client referred to you from Allopathic medicine: Yes
Do you participate in continuing education programs: Absolutely, Weekend CME Trainings, hypnothoughts, course work with selected mentors.
About how many hours a year of continuing education do you participate in: 45 (Approximately)
So, I thought it would be nice if I answered my own questions..... here it is.
Approx. hours of training you currently have taken: 800 All of it hands on.
Number of years you have been involved in Hypnosis: 20 as an adult... started reading hypnosis books as a kid.
Do you see clients: occasionally
How often do you see clients: once a month tops.
If you see clients, for what types of issues: Mostly Smoking and weight loss. Some Pain and some success issues.
Have you ever referred a client to another more qualified hypnotist: Yes
Have you ever referred a client to regular Allopathic forms of treatment: Yes
have you ever had a client referred to you from Allopathic medicine: No
Do you participate in continuing education programs: Yes Conventions and trainings as well as Hypnothoughts
About how many hours a year of continuing education do you participate in: 20
yeah.... there were a LOT of thing that I was going to ad.. but I was in a HURRY and thought I hit save as draft rather than post... and did not know that it went out till Just NOW this morning... but thats ok... we will roll with it.
