Biochemistry, Obesity, and the low down sugar blues

or .... Learning to Love your Liver

Over the past several weeks I have been explaining to different people the biochemistry of obesity. Mind you, I don’t mind at all sharing my perhaps controversial views on nutrition, I am somewhat fanatical about it and I believe every Hypnotist that does weight release work needs a basic understanding of what a client should be doing to establish “healthy eating habits”. Several years ago I was diagnosed as a type II adult onset diabetic I weighed in at a hefty 248 then. At some point in my journey through the endless finger prickings I decided to apply my own chemical knowledge to my body and go beyond the basic “you are what you eat” paradigm and explore what was really happening to me. I was astounded at the impact of all my “false” assumptions and the serious mistakes I was making because of the less than complete information I had “swallowed” hook line and sinker. My journey to remedy that has been at times funny, painful, and down right embarrassing… but well worth it. Today I weigh 195 Lbs, and my blood sugar is great! I haven’t used Pharma meds for 4 years. I use supplements but .. My food is my medicine.
I have decided to share my journey and some of the discoveries I made in a series of blogs covering topics of interest related to your internal body chemistry. I will be looking at such topics as

You are NOT what you eat you are what you do with what you eat.

It’s not about how many calories you eat. It’s about how you use the calories

Glucose, Ribose, Fructose Run you, Build you, Kill you.

Fruit is Good but Fructose is BAD? Yes it’s true, Here's why

Gator-ade What’s in a name?

How does the brain know the gut is full?

Insulin leptin cortisol what do they really do.

Is there such a thing as Bad Cholesterol?

Metabolic Syndrome… Building a fatter world one sea-tainer at a time

I will be posting video’s from several “guest lecturers” both here on my blog and on the video page, the chemistry stuff is complex. But not a course requirement, the important thing is where it happens and what it makes. Stay with me for the sake of your overworked liver.

In the End I want to help you better understand the kind of nutrition advice that might help your clients and perhaps your selves to eat better, live longer, stay healthier. And .. I am not going to try and sell you a thing ….

Watch this Space For future blogs as the Anti procrastination tape someone made for me takes hold.

Simply said real food is not filler or junk. It has only one ingredient. Rocket science is not required here. A standard american diet (SAD) leads to an early grave site! Eat primarily (if not exclusively) living food as much as possible in its natural state, i.e. raw, organic and uncooked. In my opinion, we have to de-hypnotize the masses from false beliefs. I eat abundant amounts of real food and my body naturally, effortlessly and easily accommodates the digestive process. In addition, get plenty of rest and sleep long hours. Physical exercise is great for maintaining a trim physique and feeling fantastic!

Hugh, looking forward to your posts, there really is a lack of credible nutritional info that we can use to help our clients and ourselves. Jim

Thank you in advance, Hugh. The more I learn about "less-on-ing weight and width", the better I do on my program.
