the Free Hypnosis Social Network
This is not the first time I've experienced such a case. And, I'm sure it won't be the last.
A weight loss client arrived to a follow-up appointment feeling disappointed that her weight had not reduced. She confessed feeling that hypnosis was a failure for her. I nodded my head and listened. She went on to describe a week of stress spent around "toxic people", lack of sleep and overwork. I nodded and listened. She began to talk about one positive point, when she stood up for herself. Her family was surprised.
As my client began to relay even more evidence of growth, from how she had just made arrangements to start working out at a gym to the fact that she ate 1/2 the usual amount at work to how, for the first time in her life, she didn't care about what other people thought, I smiled.
Change is a process...and processes take time. I am patient.
I love my work.
