Creekside Show... Better Late Then Never!

As you have probably heard from Amanda, we had our second show at the Creekside Pub on August 30. To sum it up in a few short words, it rocked. I'm not tooting my own horn. We had some sound problems and I could have performed better then I did. It was the volounteers, the stars of the show who rocked. I'm not cutting myself short either. We did the pre-talk almost flawlessly, and before the induction was even half-way done there were people slumping over in their chairs onto the person next to them. And we moved from one skit to the next seamlessly. Together as a team, Amanda and I did very good, and I couldn't have done it without her. We kept 6 out of 10 people who came up, and wow did they do amazing.
After the pre-talk the people seemed a little like they weren't as interested in it as we would've liked them. So before the induction I speed tranced one of the participants and the crowd went silent. Except for one person who said very audibly, "Wow!" After that we had them hooked, and boy did we ever! We had them laughing from the first skit to the last. Someone even came to me and told me his stomach hurt from laughing. The crowds laughter and responses fed me and kept me going on stage, I just used their energy and turned it into mine. It was such a great feeling. We improved quite a bit from the last show, which could only be described as a succesful learning experience. But we did learn and we had a blast with this show. I had nerves going to start but then they were gone once I got on stage. Its as if my social anxiety does not exist when I'm up there.
