Denial with a smile can last awhile, but is it worthwhile to walk a mile down that aisle?

I am organizing some thoughts on a matter that is of interest to me. It may not be of interest to you, so after reading this post, if it does not apply to your way of thinking, no additional comments are required. I am in search of like-minded thinkers. Thank you for complying with my request. Note: This is a blog and not an open forum post.

What is truth? Is it only ones perceived reality? And how do we cope with our objective reality or being if no proper label is attached to it? If it can only exist with a name, then we must give it one. Thus new labels are constantly born. The caveat is discerning when it is best to give it a proper name instead of a common one.

Many have been persecuted for religious beliefs due to unjustifiable fear, which is nothing other than False Evidence Appearing Real. In essence, they have been ridiculed and tormented for having a foreign point of view. Is it merely a subjective reality then and just based upon hallucination?

So, what is a name, a label? Is it in itself an entity? An entity is a thing with distinct and independent existence. If it is not a part of the whole essence or individual then it is unique unto itself. Therefore one can delineate and declare that which is not "me, my or mine" self is best eliminated from "me, my or mine" self, the hosting system, for it can be a disabling, crippling and parasitic form.

Now, if this is accepted as true, then one must next consider how is this entity to be dealt with? I have learned that most presenting issues can be cleared using hypnosis in conjunction with expulsion techniques commonly referred to as Spirit Release or Energy Work.

If you still believe in the childhood adage: “Sticks and stones may break my bones but names will never hurt me,” then we are of a different ilk. If not, what are your thoughts on this matter?

Actually, I realized a long time ago that words are the only really agreed-upon form of communication.  We can guess at the communication in body language and other non-direct ways of communicating.  However, it seems to me, that we have the most precise agreed-upon meaning in words.  If I read your body language and it says that you're angry with me, the only real way I can verify is to ask if you're angry.  While you can lie about that, its still more precise.  Sorry if this seems off topic or too abstract.

Also, I think we've lost touch with our heritage as herd animals and minimize the impact that "our herd" can have on our self-esteem, etc.

Names matter because the name-caller, a member of your tribe, is telling you how they feel towards you or think of you.  These external messages have tremendous impact.  If we internalize these "messages," they have tremendous impact.

Each of us can choose to reframe the perceived insult (if it is one) or hateful remark (if it is one) but to deny its impact is unwise at best.  At least I think so.

I feel a peculiar attachment to all the names I have ever been given, including stage names and names of characters I played in plays, and pseudonyms I created for myself for publishing fiction, and my maiden name, and nicknames (good and bad), including "motor mouth" and "four eyes." My middle name and my confirmation name. My married name. Yeah, I am all those names. Stephanie means 'the crowned one' (like a queen.)  ....and the labels, I, me, and mine.   ...and yet "I" am none of them. "I" exist and was born nameless. I am greater than all my names. It depends on whether one is aware of that or not. I can release all my names just knowing that fact. And they can't have a hold on me once I set that intention.

It's an interesting notion for one to go beyond surface implications of labels and such, yet identities (not real names or pseudonyms) are more than ones associations, rather they are the facts of being who or what a person or thing is. And the understanding of these facts determines our perceived reality. So instead of detaching or dissociating and not really confronting these facts, I'd prefer to associate with my truth. Ultimately, I think doing that would be much easier.

Hi Doc, with respect to your request I shall put this forward if I'm off your mark then I shall not reply again.

I have long been thinking about how we move past our identities how we go beyond labels and names and the associations and contexts they bring. To understand who we think we are who others think we are and who we truly are.

To be able to pick up and put down my identities without any attachment to them to just experience each for what it is beyond the projected and perceived reality of names and labels?
