Very good advice. I personally like the idea of getting the liability insurance through these organizations. Usually quite reasonable and yet necessary to do business.

Essentially they are dues paying clubs. The basic difference is, who you pay your money to.

ALL hypnosis credentialing associations have one thing in common. That is, that there is no official certifying organization or standards. ALthough some organizations claim to represent "the majority of hypnotists" or "qualified hypnotists" or "professional hypnotists" or whatever, none of them are sanctioned by the state (nor should they be) and certification by any of them is optional, and recognition of any of them by any other group is very transient at best.

What is the value of any of these organizations? Educational opportunities, regional networking, and some would claim political activity and lobbying. If you join an assocation or certification club join one that reflects your values, offers opportunites you are likely to participate in and networks with others rather than engaging in territorial disputes.

They are both organizations for Hypnotist.
One is the National Guild Hypnotist and the other American Hypnosis Association
The American Hypnosis Association (AHA) is a national association of hypnotherapists, other professionals and, private persons interested in hypnosis and related fields. You can become a Member of the AHA for an annual recurring fee of $149.00

NGH is The NGH is the largest and oldest hypnotherapy membership organization in the world. Hypnosis training and hypnotist referrals avalilable. Its about $115 to join

Now they are alike but different they are both for hypnotist and offer different things to their members just depends what you want from the organization. Hope this helps you I am a member of NGH I do not use the services since I had joined and rethinking of joining I am planning to join the AHA.
