Thank you very much, David!  What I found interesting about the article I sited is that it's about using electrical stimulation to enter an altered state of awareness, like a top athlete.  I think the PERMA model is after something different.

The Positive Psychology movement has much to offer. Csikszentmihaly wrote "Flow", the classic work on the subject. Seligman includes it in his "PERMA" model of wellbeing which I find compelling:
