Had to use the "Loose the Number Six" routine in the office today

Every so often, you run into a client who just needs to be convinced he is in hypnosis even despite the best pre-talk. Maybe he is a little too analytical or afraid of letting go. Well, this evening I had such a client.

This is where the stage hypnosis training I had really comes in handy. It is lots of fun and it serves to really have your client believe he was in hypnosis. His belief system is increased and when dealing with clinical hypnosis, those suggestions you give later, just soak in.

Yes Marc, that is one reason I have invited John to California in November

I always utilize my stage training during my sessions.  It's a wonderful way to allow people to let go and stop questioning themselves over whether they are "doing it right"

I love these "stage" show tools so much that I have invited John Cerbone to come to California in November to teach his "Speed Trance" weekend. I find "speed" inductions are also very useful "tools" for certain clinical clients.

Great point! I've had to occasionally pull out the "silly stuff" for a client.

We shouldn't speak too loudly about it, or we'll get condemned in all caps by someone who believe stage hypnosis has ruined the world. :-)

Ever explore converting the meaning or changing the sequence of numbers, so they all get jumbled up? I wonder now if that would be considered amnesic and/or hallucinatory phenomena. Anyhow, this could be a new type of confusion technique to utilize. Just sayin'...
