While listening to Pink Floyd's "Hey You" it hit me, Hey you, out there on the net, stranger that I've never met, would you hear me?

Latley I've been very stressed out, to the point of the smallest incidents or nothing at all would give me anxiety attacks. And it makes me think if I can do this show coming up in 2 days... The stress and negative self talk are really bringing me down, physicaly and mentaly. But I keep pushing on because I really WANT to do this, I NEED to do this. So I'll keep working through the day thinking about practicing and get home and begin to practice. But Amanda needs the computer so I have to leave... thats all for now.

Hey Joshua,
with all the amazing people on here, I'm suprised that you haven't got some great encouragement yet.
I would say that it certainly sounds as though a huge part of you wants to do this.
This is one day in your life. If the worst that could happen is that you could totally suck! well, at least you know you did it and you can be glad of that.
Wouldn't it be worse if you never even tried? How would THAT feel?
There are so many famous people who get really bad stage fright before they do a performance, but they do it anyway, some times they give an amazing performance and sometimes they don't.
It's okay not to do everything perfectly and amazingly every time, it's not going to happen.
It sounds as though you would be SO dissappointed in yourself if you didn't do it, that would be a terrible feeling.
You have to start somewhere, are you going to make that start now, or are you never going to start?
This is your chance to start. It's normal to feel unsure and panicked, what's the alternative...?
I wish you good luck and I'd love to hear how it went, even if you really sucked, the fact that you did it!
It already sounds as though you are telling yourself that it doesn't matter how afraid you are, you will do it anyway. What does that tell you about yourself?
Good luck Joshua, I wish I could be in the audience to see you. Let me know if you ever come to the Dallas area and I'll be there:-)
