It never ceases to amaze me, as I travel the world presenting to practicing hypnotists, how most hypnotists / hypnotherapists do almost nothing after their Basic Training to increase their skills. Progressive Relaxation Induction and some Direct Suggestion work and they think they are doing good work. With all due respect, as it is said, nothing could be further from the truth.
I used to work in this manner. I now call it "finger crossed hypnosis." You do the session and cross your fingers hoping it will work. And it does, sometimes. But sometimes isn't good enough if you are to be successful.
However, I also knew and accepted the fact that was just the start of it all and I had a lot to learn. Now my toolbox has enough in it that I have been able to have success with almost every type of person you can imagine, from sports figures, actors, Nobel Prize winners (2 of them) and highly analytical people and International Royalty, just to name a few.
This would not be possible with using only what I knew after my certification 10 years ago. Last week was my Hypno-Anniversary and I know there is still sooooo much to learn. And knowing how much hypnotism professionals need to learn what they can, I am passionate about sharing what I have learned.
