Comment by GANESH RAMACHANDRAN IYER on November 23, 2011 at 6:57pm I seek your help. A gal was brought to me with a complaint that she faints in the school when she topens up the Mathematics book. The eyes remain open and no movement in the body. This condtion lasts from 5 min to 30 min - then the gals becomes normal as if nothing had happened. This happens only when she is at school - not at home and not her tuition place. It happens only in the Maths class.
The parents brought with them all the scan reports etc. I did not even see them as I knew very well the problem is mental and not physical.
I talk to that gal and counseled her for one hour. She listened to me well and took the maths book onto her hands and said "I love maths".
This evening I had a phone call from the mother of the gal stating that she fainted in the school for more than 30 min and every one around her got scared. The medical reports do not say anything woring with the brain and some tablets have been prescribed.
I dont know what triggers that gal to slip on to this state of mind and body - which I should find during my next session with her which is tomorrow.
Please guide me Kathy.. as to how I should go on further with her.. she is also a teen gal.
thanx and regards.
ganesh
