Instant Inductions, youtube and the Destruction of the US Economy

While I wasn't paying attention last week, my youtube videos hit another milestone. My videos have now received over two million views. So as I considered this event, I began to wonder, "How much time have people spent watching my videos?"

Given the fact that my videos average about 2 minutes in length, that means that 4 million minutes were spent watching them, assuming people watch them to the end.

That adds up to 66,667 hours of viewing. Now if the average person works 8 hours in a day and 20 days in a month, that adds up to almost 417 man months. In other words, over 34.7 man YEARS that could have been used productively were instead spent staring mindlessly at my instant induction videos. I'm so ashamed. :-)
