Dear reader,
I got a gift coupon for birthday from my colleagues at work for a book shop. I decided quite fast what I wanted to buy. Obviously a book either by or on Erickson. I thought of "A Teaching Seminar With Milton Erickson" by Jeffrey Zeig for some time. I had read it back at university from the library there already. But I wanted my own copy of it. And then there was this other book, also by Jeffrey Zeig, "Experiencing Erickson". I couldn't buy both of them from just the coupon. I also couldn't decide which one to buy. So I bought both and paid one with the coupon. They arrived last friday. I started reading "Experiencing Erickson" pretty much right away. Although I still have a book from the library. Erickson is first though. I have this bookmark, which is a purple giraffe made out of foam rubber with colourful dots out of foam rubber and an eye and smiling mouth painted on the foam with a black felt pen. I took that one as the bookmark for the "Experiencing" book. Today I was sitting there on my sofa, looking at the giraffe and suddenly I had to smile. I haven't thought about which bookmark to pick. I have several laying around in one of my bookshelves. I just picked one. Today I was looking at the giraffe, I thought that there's no other bookmark that fits any better than this for a book on Erickson, who enjoyed the colour purple the most. It took me four days. I wonder, if my unconscious picked this bookmark for me, for the book...
I'll keep you posted! Stay tuned!
