Kicked a stomach flu within the hour, with hypnotic suggestions.

Today I woke up with a bad case of the stomach flu.
How do I know it was stomach flu?
I had to stay put on the toilet, had bad cramps, and spilled my guts and stomach-fluids, and even when I was empty, I had to drink, just to satisfy the convulsions.
Well, as a diabetic that's a dangerous situation, because of the danger of dehydration, due to the lack of "reserve fluids" (pardon my lack of English expressions)
Now I lay there in bed, and thought to myself:"What am I going to do?"
So I called the hospital, to get submitted, but due to being put on hold, hearing the same recorded message over and over, and over, and over ..... something about keeping my insurance-number ready, and that consulting over the telephone would also be billed,....my battery failed.
So then I lay there, thinking:"I have a seminar planned for the 18th, so being committed would not be the best way to go at it.".
So I thought and thought, and then I made up my mind:
I decided to get better, instantly.
I said to my body to take care of it, and how much I loved my body for being there for me all those years.
I told it, to preserve all moisture, and took really small sips of water, to not agitate the convulsion-reactions.
Then I went into a deep Theta-state, and got my body to attack the virus that resided in my intestines.
I kept on sending "troups" to the "battlefield" and imagined it being a fight on "my turf".
Within the hour, the convulsions, the continual need to take a dump, and the pain in my intestines stopped.

The last few times I felt like this, I woke up in the hospital, and had to stay there for two weeks.
I knew the feeling, and almost died the last time this happened to me.
Now I can help my body, just by intending to get better, and visualization

How wonderful the power of hypnosis and suggestions.

Bravo -- Mind over flu-like symptoms is always a cause for celebration!

FYI == Your "will to be well" experience reminded me of the day that I met and insulted one of of my favorite authors - Neville Hodgkinson.

It was in 1992 in a very cool city called Amsterdam and I was one of about a 20 AIDS experts that the government of the Netherlands flew in to participate in an AIDS conference that they were sponsoring: AIDS: A Different View- You can read all about it here:

Great job Antoine. It reminds me of an explanation I once heard of why hypnosis is very effective for people who have been burned. Apparently the heat of the flame does part of the damage and an overreaction of the immune system does the rest. I haven't had an experience as dramatic as yours, but have discovered that if I remember stay calm when I feel a cold or other routine illness coming on, it either goes away quickly or the symptoms are less severe. There is definitely something to be said for "if you don't mind it don't matter!"

That's right Doc, one's attitude is the crucial factor, but I have to add:"in this situation".
The panic that comes with the realization of being sick, can be resolved, and refuted.
By choosing to feel healthy, and letting your imagination "remember" the feelings of being healthy, you empower your body's "intentions" of gaining the state, that corresponds to your choosing.
(I say choosing, because it is a choice to refuse getting sick, and feeling better.)

I'd venture to say that all positively constructed environmental conditions must be user friendly, such that the host provides a happy home for the community of cells. That means the quality of ones health is based directly upon ones emotional attitude toward wellbeing.

It reminds me of an article I read about getting sick. The article said that the popular impression is that we are passed the infection from someone else, which makes us sick. While there is some truth to that, the fact is that we are exposed to similar infections on a daily basis. They are literally in the air we breathe. It's just that when we are feeling strong and have good nutrition, we fight off infection before it becomes symptomatic. It's when we feel down that our immune system is compromised and we are more susceptible to attack.

Another interesting fact (anyone with more detailed medical knowledge than I, please correct me) is that bacteria sort of communicate with each other. They send out and receive chemical signals. Their programming is to lie low and keep replicating, not doing anything to trigger the immune system until they have reached a certain volume. Then they attack and cause the symptoms that will lead to their being passed to another host. It's called bacterial communication and here is an article about it: http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2009/07/090707093619.htm

I hope this information helps in visualizing what's going on inside, so you can be a better general!

You're never lacking, Hao.
Everyone can do this, just trust your unconscious mind, to take care of it!
Our mind is such a wonderful device, that we still can't fully comprehend it.
Still it's learning by giving it a shot, and if you can imagine it .....

The power of suggestions never ceases to amaze me. Good job Antoine! I'll try to connect with my inner self some more, I definitely feel I'm lacking now compared to you.

Indeed it does Doc, it's such a wonderful realization, that even though we preach it, experiencing it still leaves me in awe.

Keith,

I know you understand the process, because you've had to re-establish the communication with your body also.
Isn't it great to now be able to use that insight, that former hardship has taught you?
