Man On Wire
Man On Wire is the film that won best documentary at the Oscars this week. It chronicles Philippe Petit's daring, and illegal, walk on a wire strung between the twin towers of the World Trader Center 35 years ago.
Interviewed on Weekend Edition with Scott Simon, Simon asked him what would have happened if he had slipped.
Petit's answer was "That is a wrong question for me...I do not put myself in a state of question mark on the wire...the question mark I transform into an exclamation point."
What a great metaphor for facing our fears and achieving our goals.
