Ok First off you need to be really clear before you follow this blueprint what the purpose of your business is?
Sounds strange and of course we all need / want to make money, after all bills etc have to be paid but most successful business share one common theme as their highest purpose for business.
Its to " Add value to the lives of their customers"
Don't worry I may look a bit "fluffy" but believe me I'm not well not when it comes to work anyway !! :)
If this is your purpose you will look at Sales and marketing in a totally new way. You'll be driven not just by ( a totally acceptable ) desire to make money and profits but also a real desire to make a diffrence to the lives of your clients.
However we all know if your worried about paying the bills then you can't always 110% concentrate on your clients or business. So a good balance is always necessary
Ask yourself the question "What is the purpose of my business?"
Are you doing this ??
