HypnoThoughts.com

the Free Hypnosis Social Network

Hi,

Because there are so many advertisements masquerading as reviews floating out there on the Interwebs, I decided to start a blog where I review various materials related to hypnosis and hypnosis education: books, videos, audio books, and other tools.

Since I don't sell hypnosis education materials, I believe I can present reviews in a relatively unbiased way.

I'll also have a segment called "Hypnosis vs. Hollywood," in which I review movies and television shows that mention hypnosis, mostly with an eye to inaccuracies presented. Finally, since it's my blog, I'll probably use it to comment on trends and practices in the hypnosis community.

Here's the link, and I encourage you to check it out:

Way Cool James,

I just read your blog and skimmed through your other reviews.. Great detail James,, way to go.. Your on your way to becoming Syskel and Ebert, pretty sure I totally miss spelled both of their names..

I have a few books I'd recommend that you review when you have time..

And,, probably like you,, I have a huge list of books that I would greatly benefit from reading as well.. If you need any help,, just let me know..

Have a great day,

Scott

james,

I really like where you are going with this. I hope ( and expect) you are able to maintain the level of integrity I read in those first few posts. Of course you will have some bias towards a specific style or school of thought, but I suspect you will be aware of that and disclose it in reviews. I bet there will be some thin skinned authors out there who won't like what you say about there book/video/etc. Imalso confident that your site could be incredibly valuable to a whole bunch of people looking to learn more about hypnosis. We need more things like this in our industy, kudos to you for making it happen.

Hello Ian, You said, I don't judge, I question, but to me it looks more like an attack... I understand why you question Dr Hunter PH.D professionalism, because he continues to retain a link on his website to the website of Dr Royle PH.D. And, In yo…

Research in hypnosis is a waste of time. At best all it shows is the intent and skill of the hypnotist conducting the research or the ability of the person being hypnotised to actually be hypnotised. Being as neither of these is a constant how coul…

Sorry, an update. Someone has kindly mailed me to say that Dr Hunter has TWO links to Royale's websites. Thank you for your observation, and yes, as I replied, I am sure that Dr Hunter will explain this embarrassment in his own time. http://www.h
