Well I just wanted  to say thanks to John Cleesattel for his hypnosis technique for smoking cessation. I have used it and now even modified it to fit my client needs better with much success. As always, thanks John. So this blog post is about smoking cessation and is open to input from others. I am writing another book, this one on smoking cessation. So I have a question, Does anyone think that giving/selling this book to clients will help or will it keep their mind's on smoking? Just wondering...

Stephanie,

I think that is a great way to handle this. I could put a fair price on the book, sell it to some, give it to those who pre-pay or something like that. Thanks

That's a great question..... I gave out some recordings at first and found that more clients found it reminded them of smoking than not. I have a booklet about smoking I put together and find it most useful to send it to them and have them read it BEFORE the first session. I ask them to read it aloud -- to a pet, if necessary, or a photo of someone who cares about them.  This increases motivation and, sneakily, makes sure they have it afterwards. So if they choose to refer to it, it's there. If not, no problem.

What do you think about that approach?
