All,

In an email today I learned that High Fructose Syrup is trying to change it's name to Corn Sugar.

A rose by any other name would smell as sweet ..... But HFCS can kill you a thousand ways no matter what it's called. It's even in most medication.

The process of creating HFCS was discovered in Japan; no wonder it's been called "The Second Pearl Harbor"...

We should start a sugar busters group here for ideas on changing people's palates, triggers and associations with that brain-encrusting, pancreas-shocking, belly-ballooning demon.

"Corn sugar or cane sugar--your body doesn't know the difference."

Written by an evil genius--and I don't mean that in the good way. They're using phonetic similarity to imply metabolic similarity and convince people of a falsehood. Yeesh.

They are actually may be changing the name to "Corn Sugar".

As a way to (continue) sweetening and softening our bodies and the public's perceptions.

Yeah, never mind that there's never been a generation that consumed as much High Fructose Corn Syrup as ours, so we really have no idea what the effect of massive consumption is.

Or that we've all consumed products made from genetically modified corn that was not supposed to be consumed by humans to begin with.

But hey--there are comforting ads on TV telling me it's all right, so it must be good . . .
