I've recently has the pleasure to read Dan Cleary's new Book: Targeting Pain- A Practitioners Guide to Relief.
I give it a 10 out of 10 as there are so many benefits to my practice, so many new tools for my tool box, methods I had yet to discover and scripts I'm excited to use with my clients. And this is an easy read that offers something for every type of client that I see in my practice.
Within this book are so many methods, so many inductions, new skill's to immediately use with clients and for ourselves as well. I and my son's have already personally benefitted as we read, out loud, segments of the book on two road trips. Combined, I believe my 12 and 8 year old son's have found what we are calling, "Inner tools", to eliminate physical pain and much, much more. From using finger pumps to pump in the magic serum, to discovering delicious resources within us, the secondary gain, for us, has been the fact that my boys can use it as well.
If you haven’t read Dan’s previous books, you need to know his own story, how he found Hypnosis and why. "I was involved in a motorcycle accident on March 28, 1978, resulting in a brachial plexus avulsion. My right arm was paralyzed and from the moment I awoke in the emergency room, I have been experiencing certain "sensory challenges." After the accident I was unable to sleep for days at a time and then I would collapse for a few hours and awaken in tears. I had an enormous supply of drugs- Which didn't make the pain go away. The drugs allowed me to careless about the pain I suppose or perhaps they made me insensible to some of the emotional effects that accompany any chronic condition but that may not be entirely accurate. This cycle continued for about five years before I discovered Hypnosis. Within a week I had eliminated most of the drugs and was sleeping six to eight hours a night HYPNOSIS WORKS, IT SAVED MY LIFE!"
To sum up Targeting Pain, Every Trick of the hypnotic trade is in this book, all you have to do is flip open the Index and all of the solutions to an infinite list of issues. All of the solutions are inside.
Hope you have a great day,

Good Morning Everyone,
Just had an opportunity to use Targeting Pain, with a chronic pain referral this morning. Huge advantage as I'm earmarking pages during the intake, finding possible trigger/ finding solution's through the index and from what I'm hearing from the client's own words.
Hope you all get the advantage of Targeting Pain as well.
Have a great day,
Scott Cooper CCHT
WoW!
Thanks everybody for your comments and interest.
I know there is no advertising allowed here and yet I think I am answering a question when I say; go check my Website. There is more info on the book and yes you can purchase it there or on Amazon and we both cover US postage but I will sign it to you.
Perhaps this is the place to suggest that when we hear of a book or video, etc. it may be that by going to the author's site we can deal directly with the individual and perhaps make a connection that benefits us all.
I am honored and humbled by Scott's review and thrilled with the possibility of meeting new people who care about what they do and the people they serve. I am unfamiliar with blogs and posting in groups and know that there are tons of people out there and so am indebted to those who know the venues and pass the word.
My website is danclearyhypnosis (and you know to add the dot com part)
I was told that by spelling dotcom it evades the phishers, but then I had people tell me they had typed it as it was and didn't get to the site.
In peace,
Dan
