the Free Hypnosis Social Network
I just want to thank everyone who has made me feel so welcome here.
It seems to be a very warm and helpful community.
I am a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist in Richmond, Virginia with a brand new practice.
I came to hypnotherapy by either a series of random accidents or because The Law of Attraction really works. It was one of the two. Take your pick. My feelings won't be hurt either way.
The biggest accident was this: I decided I wanted to stop smoking. I tried lots of different things.
My downfall was always the same. I'd quit for a bit, then I'd be around somebody who was and I was lighting up again myself.
Having been in sales for some time, I became very familiar with and studied NLP. You don't have to go very far into NLP before you start bumping into hypnosis.
Then I thought, "what would happen if..."(my last words will probably start with that phrase).
So I went and got a really good electronic cigarette (which is something I had had some success with previously) and then recorded a hypnosis session for myself.
The most important thing I knew then and know now about hypnosis is, "If you can imagine it, your body can do it and you want it to happen, it is possible through hypnosis."
In the six months since then, I've been around smoking every day and I haven't wanted to smoke once. Why, thanks to my very special recorded induction, cigarette smoke smells like dog poop to me now. ;-)
At that point I was hooked. It also opened up my mind to a path that I need to be on. Finding a way to help others, not just chase money.
Once again, thank you everybody for the warm welcome.
