Albert Einstein is quoted as saying "The secret to creativity is knowing how to hide your sources".

Although I would never disagree with such a great man, I believe in "credit where credit is due" an as a result I wish to publicly thank Michal Ellner for his kind permission to reproduce the "Do it Yourself Emotional Detox" that he helped to create.

The only reason I did this is to take advantage of a post hypnotic suggestion I install during my group work for stress reduction.  Otherwise there would be no need to use anything other than his brilliant original work.

I am sure that I am not the only person with a reason to thank Michael, so here is an opportunity to add your thanks to such a generous humanitarian -

Thank you Ian for the post - great idea... thank you Kelley & Graham, for I too have benefited from your generosity... and THANK YOU Michael :-) ... I refer to you often, by name, to my clients and others, and I refer to you throughout my sessions and days in general as well.  I feel a "soul connection" with each of you, and many others here (Scott, Richard, and more) as well!

Reminds me a favorite quote, to whom I can't attribute and may be paraphrasing : "To the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world"

There is no question Michael jumps at the first opportunity to help anybody who needs it...he has helped me several times and I am very grateful to him.

You are most welcome, Ian. You're one of the reasons people like Michael, Nath and I post so much on KidsWorks - practitioners who are open to learning new ways of helping clients of all ages help themselves are great fun to share with...and having fun while growing is the best recipe!

Thanks for the opportunity to thank Michael Ellner.

He's a mentor I look forward to meeting in person some day.

So very true Kelley, Michael does continually "help people he doesn't even know".  Myself included.

May I say that he is not the only one.  You yourself has and continue to be an inspiration to me.  For a long time I would refer children to a colleague in the area.  As I am not a father myself I never felt adequate helping children, that is until I found 'Kidswork' and gained my strength from your wisdom and that of Nathan.  So for that I also thank you Kelley.  (And thank you to Nathan if you happen to read this.

P.S.  I'm glad you like this rendition.

Wonderful, Ian. This is a great rendition. I'm like you: I love the Ellner/Barsky approach for helping clients move into more desired states. I often tell Michael that he's "helping people he doesn't even know!"

I only wish that every time we and our clients utilize the Emo Detox that a dollar bill would land on Michael's lap! Maybe we should start sending some royalties to this wonderful person who gives and gives and gives...
