The Bright Lights Of...Chesterville

I just had to share a funny question I faced last weekend. I performed at a small town winter festival out in the proverbial boonies of Eastern Ontario. How small was it? Because of the absence of hotels or motels, I was put up for the night at a bed & breakfast.

Anyway, the next morning, the hostess of the B & B (who also attended the show) told me how she really enjoyed my performance and that she's always in touch with the co-ordinators of several small town fairs and that she would recommend my show to them. It was what she said next that made me laugh. "But you probably don't do small town fairs do you?"

I replied, "Um, I just did the Chesterville Winter Carnival last night."

To which, she responded, "Oh, ya, I guess you did!"
