the Free Hypnosis Social Network
Today was one of those days that being a nerd paid off. It was also one of those days that rewards hard work and preparation.
Today I saw 5 clients and had one group session. All of them were very different challenges that needed a wide variety of techniques applied.
Everything from forgiveness work, to ideo dynamic responses, to NLP, obscure pain control, medical hypnosis, family systems applications, utilization of weird research I've picked up over the years, etc.
This was one of those days that really tests a person, and I'm really happy that I was able to help my clients today. This stretched me as a practitioner and forced me to use tools I normally don't apply, but that I'm glad I have.
I'm thankful for my great teachers and mentors today, and to the people who disagree with me in a respectful way, show me new things without being condescending, and genuinely care about helping each other help other people.
To anyone who thinks they can learn hypnosis in a week, or teach it,
I can say today that would not have been nearly enough.
To everyone who helped me know the difference between what is required and what is in our clients best interest: thank you.

Comment by John Cleesattel on July 12, 2011 at 8:55pm Ah, but you can learn hypnosis in a week, and teach it. Hypnosis is not difficult. It's the change work itself that's the rub ;)
