The Price of Cigarettes just went UP AGAIN!
A new increase in the Federal (USA) tax on cigarettes has raised prices in NY State to over $8 per pack for some brands. Even though I have not reduced the fee for my Smoking Cessation program, the cost in terms of cartons of cigarettes keeps going down. In fact, it's now down to about the cost of three cartons of the better selling brands. If it's anything like that where you are, consider ways to make potential clients (every smoker!) more conscious of the situation.
I've updated the posters I'm permitted to display in my office building to make this point, and I'm considering changing my radio spots for the same purpose. Soon this will be old news, so strike while the iron is hot.

This is about the same price as they charge for cigs in the UK.

That is a very good point and sinnce people sarted finding out about this business has increased. I started a discussion on "smokers" and maybe now would be a good time to here/see everyones tips on what techniques work the best for smoker clients. Such as scripts, tips..etc. Anyone has any ideas or something that could help all of us benefit to help people quit please share..... A few items I do for clients is to make sure they take 10 deep breaths first when or if they still have a desire., this is becasue when people smoke they are so used to breathing in deeply while inhaleing , another item I have the "hard to quit clients " do is to give them a pack of straws and cut them down to the size of a cig and put them in a cig pack. This way it kind of fools the mind they are still smoking. Anyone else have any suggestins please share.

Good Idea the more the people now there is alternative ways to stop they will. There is alot of people still unaware that Hypnosis is another method they can use to be successful.
