What do I like about being a hypnotherapist? Everything. Some of the most interesting people in the world present themselves on my doorstep and allow me to get to know them and help them to see beyond the present dysfunction to what could be. When a client who was brought into my office in a wheelchair comes back using a cane and then forgets it and leaves it in my office because they don't need it..... When a chronic pain client forgets why they have been coming to see me....... when a 3 yr case of hives that has resisted all medical intervention is gone in three days......getting a Christmas card from my client with the 3 beautiful children that he was able to father once his condition improved....Nothing can compare with those feelings. I love this job.

I would have to say that I have the satisfaction of helping someone through something they never thought they were able to do.
Just the thought of helping someone, and the feeling of accomplishment seen in the client.

Awesome, simply awesome. :o)

What I like, most about being a hypnotherapist,, wow, great question,, where to start..

I so enjoy helping clients to just feel good, when we meet, I so enjoy listening to them.. I had a client, yesterday, who's life long doggy passed away,, and when she saw my lab, Enzo,, she just got on the floor and played with him, I saw joy on her face,, I'd only met her for less than five minutes and there she is reliving joy,, maybe thinking of a new puppy,, and this is a lady that called to say she was fighting depression,, yet she was loving playing with our rescue dog Enzo..

I'm amazed and find Joy in doing the intake, being patient, as clients think through, something, a few times, that might be the ISE,, and you can sit there and feel their mind tumblers unlocking the previous mystery, and they get a small glimpse of what their life can become, you can feel their motivation, of as Depok says, "All Possibilities", that they no, in the intake, they may just have had a miss perception and that it's great to go back and see what they could have done differently, better, without guilt, shame,, just know how to be a better person in the future, in control, without anger, or other useless, toxic emotions.

I love trance work, the feeling of trancending with my client can be euphoric, blissful, can be awesome, pending on the issue, this is my secondary gain,, I can't wait to do trance work, it feels good, and as we trancend, I make sure that I'm keeping them safe, made sure they were warm enough, was patient enough to let them stay in control, control thier own eye closure,,

I so enjoy a new client,, their many questions,, answering them without them feeling embarrased to ask,, in trance, their hands are moving around telling the physical story of how something happened, using their hands as fists open to release old energy,, the expression on their face, from the start of trance, a little uncertain, to the middle of trance, at the perfect depth, enjoying the ride, right there, being in the moment,, singing an old song that brings positive emotion can be fantastic,, the 15 seconds of silence as they prey for others, god bless their family, internally forgive an old friend that slighted them many years back, imagining the great reunion phone call in their mind,, again, watching their gleeful expression as they hear their old friend say "I've missed you and I want you back in my life, I'll make the change, I'll apolagise for whatever,, that l know now time is short, we must talk now" ,, I find that energy pours back into my life, I find that my walls come down and I'm making long distant calls when the session is over, just to say what I have to say,,

The second session, hearing they went home, so motivated,, cleaned their house,, did what they set out to do,, they feel releived, they are happy they came by and found what they were looking for,,

There are so many great moments with clients, it's very grafifying to be able to help people that need and deserve a little help on their journey..

Hope everyone, around the world, has a Hapy Thanks giving, or what ever you celebrate.

Well, it still amazes me that i can turn up for a morning of 4 x 1hr sessions tired and at the end of the 4hrs i feel like i have changed the world! hahahaahahaaa - it never ceases to amaze me how doing what i do helps people to shift to where they choose to be - and i agree with others, it is the most amazing thing in the world when you walk out to greet your client in the waiting room and they can't wait to tell you just how fantastic they are doing!!!

I feel though that in order for this profession to make a difference you genuinely have to care for the outcome of the client - i don't think i would find this very fulfilling if it was just an income thing.

I will have to agree... the way it makes me feel when I have improved someone's life in a life changing magnitude.

When a person turns to me and says "That was the most incredible experience I have ever had!", I know I chose the right path for me. And, when I answer, "Me, too!", it is doubly confirmed.

The change I see in people and the difference it makes to their lives. Sometimes it's hypnosis setting them free from a fear or past experience, sometimes it gives them the ability to bound into the future with enthusiasm. The fact that every session is different and so it's a challenge for me. I enjoy life and the ability to use hypnosis to help other people do the same is pure joy.

I love seeing people become empowered as they experience who they really are. They often benefit far beyond the reason for their visit. I can't imagine any other job that would carry with it this level of satisfaction. After 20 years I'm still excited to see how client's lives improve.

Also, I spend my work life being creative and I have a great deal of freedom because I'm self-employed. What could be better?
