Group Hypnosis: Rapid Induction & Post-hypnotic Suggestions

Recently, I had the pleasure of being invited back to Bayonne High School for a second year in a row to teach 2 days of classes (7 periods each day) for the Junior Class. The two part course I presented focused on motivation, hypnosis and the mind. Thanks to the staff and the students at BHS for welcoming me and for making this a fantastic experience. A special thanks to Mr. C for making this happen, for going above and beyond the call of duty every day to help your students learn important lessons about life, and for showing how much you genuinely care about each student. You are truly an inspiration, Mr. C!

We all had fun during this portion of the class; however, please note that the demonstration shown in this video was done to illustrate how hypnosis works (as part of a lecture on motivation and hypnosis) as opposed to being a stage show presented purely for entertainment.

This video begins with the initial rapid group-induction that immediately guides the volunteers into a deep state of hypnosis. All volunteers were instructed to remain standing until I clearly indicated that I was talking directly to them and ready to guide them down to the floor.

For those learning hypnosis, notice the following:
--The use of a front and side-spot. NOTE: Although I safely carried one of the volunteers, I do not recommend carrying anyone. It is better to walk the volunteers to an open space before guiding them to the floor.
--Basic formation of a direct suggestion
--Positive hallucination

WARNING: Although the methods shown in my videos (such as spotting techniques) work safely for me and my volunteers, I do not make any guarantee that these methods will be safe or appropriate methods for other people. Due to many variables such as the height, weight, physical strength and experience of the hypnotist and/or volunteer, these methods may yield unexpected or unsafe results.
