I think that is a great question, Richard. As you know, I also have concerns that the UM might create the other health issues (nutrient deficiencies) that occur with the bypass and lap-band. It will be interesting to see what the long term results are.

Wold a hypnotic bariatric surgery have equally poor outcomes?  I would think long term the results would be the same, since many view both surgery and hypnosis as magic ways to solve a problem.
