I have 3 problems with hypnosis--- ME, MYSELF, and I. Seriously, I can work with others, but have problems working with MYSELF. I've tried adding brain entraimnent sounds and that helps effectiveness, but most of my self-hypnosis suggestions have little effect unless I do them several times a day every day, and I don't have that kind of time to work on it. Any suggestions? I know WHAT to do, but it's not effective on ME when I am the one doing it-- either mentally or by recorded CD.

Well.... now you know exactly what to do to NOT get the response you are looking for...

You can work out an agreement with another hypnotist.... Exchange session for session. They work with YOU..... you work with them.. ( or their designated person).

You can also have someone ELSE do a recording for you.... with the stuff that you want them to record.... and one of the things you want to work on is being able to allow yourself the luxury of getting the benefit out of hypnosis when you work with yourself.... AS IF you were working with others....

You might also ask your unconscious mind why its preventing you from getting the benefit when you do self-hypnosis.. see what comes back.

I like the idea of asking one's own unconscious why self is resisting self. I will try this too.
A great way to do a bit of year round spring cleaning in the mind.

Thank you much. I will work on the asking self thing. The getting others to work with me will be bit tricky as my time is extremely limited at this time. Pretty much what I get to do I have to do in what little time I can find here at home.. don't have the luxury of being able to go to others. I think I can work on that though... I greatly appreciate the suggestion.

We are all conditioned to a cynical disbelief in our ability to use our own powers in our own behalf.
We know that others can be transformed, but we experience great difficulty in giving to ourselves the authority that clients give to us.
As we continue to witness the incredible changes occurring in our clients, we may finally come to sing out[i]],"Amazing Grace that saved a wretch like me, how sweet the sound, for I was lost and now I'm found--was blind and now I see"[i]
We may never know how IT works, but we can give thanks each day that are the witness to the Glory and the Miracle of Transformation.

True. I have made many efforts and done the 21 days to a habit deal, and NO effect.
At this time, I'm limited in my available time, but beginning maybe next month, I'm changing that.. and many other things too.

Not NO effect, just an effect that didn't create massive change - everything has SOME effect.
In Judaism, it's 40 days to a habit - The number 40 in the Bible is always around some "formation" - whether it's a human seed developing a human form, Nineveh transforming their society towards good in response to Jonah's prophecy, Moses' transformation into a perfect conduit for G-d's word, etc. So, at 21 you're more than halfway there...

Yes, I suppose that is true. With the way things have gone lately, continuity is difficult.
I'll work on it in the changes I have slotted for this month and the next 180 days.
That's the beginning of my physical change goals-- including exercises like I USE to do before the injury, and meditation/prayer that I've tried to do, but lacked control of the situation here to do regularly. Anyway, thanks for the suggestions everybody.
