hello! :)

hope all are great for all of you. i was just wondering what you can do with $100,000 if you were to invest in something. of course this $ is totally hypothetical and the amount of money would be relative depending on people, but given all that, i was just wondering what you can do with $100,000 that might be related to hypnosis if possible.

deeply,
molado

If I can bring this back to a hypnosis context,
If I was starting a brand new practice I would break it up pretty evenly:

30,000 would go to improving my practice - from advanced training (no matter how much I already had) to office location and furniture.

Another 40,000 would go to advertising and publicity- everything from website and biz cards to local TV and/or radio spots

20,000 would go to paying my overhead and life bills while I got my practice up off the ground

I would keep the final 10,000 as a buffer for anything unexpected.

That's the way I see it as a rough draft anyway. I'd like to hear if there is anything I overlooked.

Hi Scott,
Sounds like a real plan, I think that will be something I would do, only slightly different...
Since I have a little more overhead to pay....
I would invest in opening a clinic of my own, that includes hiring some good stuff to promote the business, including the advertising and publicity part.
I would arrange workshop and seminars nationwide together with other successful hypnotherapist.
As to how I would break it down? I think I will hire my sister in law to help me do the mathematics and that right investment, so i pay my loans, other bills, and make sure my investment is calculated wisely, so I can become financially free in the next 5 years, having my hypnotherapy business expended, so I can do workshops and seminars as part of my travel adventure.
and then maybe start my nonprofit organization helping children.

100k isn't enough to do it, but if I could find unlimited financial resources I would set up a foundation that would fund programs that go into schools and teach children how to think critically. Like the junior achievement for critical thinking.

I think that the majority of our world's problems are because people to not think critically, they simply accept what is being fed to them by media, clergy, parents, etc..

Oh boy 100K to invest in the Business....Hmmmmmmmmmm

100k on a PR and Marketing team to take active control of product design, web management, product roll out, public relations and Media spots....

and another 1.2 mil and I may even get a Super bowl commercial

The reality is that 100k is not a lot in todays market when it comes to growing your business...

To be a good entrepreneur I have had to learn web and Graphic design, audio and video engineering, and yes I edit all my own films.. You do not want to know what it costs to have it done for you.
Media relations and everything else.

So not being flippant it would be very nice to hire a reasonable quality marketing manager
however they then want the capital to invest in all the things I first labeled.

However given free rein I would spend

$25k on a 6 month PR contract

the remaining $75 k would go to putting 3 shows together

These could be entertainment or self improvement
$25k per show for
room rental, marketing, advertising, staffing and other sundry costs.

each show would be launched in a town with a population of 200,000 to 400,000 in the greater vicinity..

Then the Gamble would be if that would be enough fuel to get it running and make it work...

Because the shows would have to generate a minimum of 25k to break even... That does not cover any other costs or profit.....

That will get some of you guys thinking.....!

hi justin, thank you for your input. i guess this is why i am not doing the stage. it's just too much to think about and at the end of the day, i wonder if that would be all worth it. it might be some what worth it for oneself, but for me, i'd want to see another person having a happier life, rather than a day. now i gotta go and make the dough. ;) thank you for your great info. deeply, molado

While my ambitions and focus may be on bigger events, realize that I spent 10 yrs seeing over 13,000 clients one on one.

Today I do shows where we not only do comedy shows however I touch the lives of thousands of people and instead of helping just one person make a change I can do the same with dozens at a time..

What people may miss, is laughter is the best medicine at times and being able to laugh and connect with friends and become friends with people who only moments before were doing wild and crazy things on a stage is a truly amazing thing.

I am truly blessed to be able to touch the lives of so many and leave them smiling
and to be able to help dozens get on the path to living a better life by helping them lose weight, stop smoking and generally improve their well being...

This business allows me to travel the US make friends coast to coast and raise and Home School my 13 year old son by myself.

My underlying goal has always been to make a massive difference in the lives of others. And sometimes making them smile that one day starts them on a path that puts them in your office or someone else.

Sincerely,

Justin
